This homemade recipe allows you to create a soothing, all-natural alternative to store-bought products, perfect for easing muscle tension, managing stress, or supporting a peaceful night's sleep. Choose between cannabis-infused coconut oil or FECO/RSO.
Fill the bottom pot of your double boiler with an inch or two of water and bring it to a gentle simmer over low heat.
Place the 3 ounces shea butter the 1 ounce cannabis-infused coconut oil into the top pan of the double boiler (or your heat-safe bowl).
Allow the oils to melt completely. Stir occasionally to ensure they combine evenly. Keep the heat low to preserve the beneficial compounds in the cannabis and shea butter.
Once the mixture is entirely liquid and lump-free, turn off the heat and carefully remove the top pan/bowl. Wipe the bottom of the bowl to prevent water from dripping into your mixture.
If using, add the 1 mL Full Extract Cannabis Oil (FECO) or Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) and stir well.
Let the mixture cool for just a minute or two, you want it warm but not scalding hot. Add the 20 drops eucalyptus essential oil, 10 drops peppermint essential oil, and 10 drops lavender essential oil. Stir well to distribute the oils evenly throughout the mixture.
Carefully pour the liquid mixture into your clean 4-ounce glass jar.
Allow the vapor rub to sit at room temperature until it cools and re-hardens completely. If you are in a hurry, you can place the jar in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes to speed up the process.
Seal the jar tightly. Store your vapor rub in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight.
