What You’ll Need

- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips: A necessary ingredient for this fudge recipe. Feel free to use dark chocolate or white chocolate chips, if desired.

Storage Instructions
Store in an airtight container for up to 7 days in your refrigerator.
If you don’t think you will consume it with in seven days, freezing the fudge in individual portions is a great way to save it and preserve the potency.
Alternate Cannabis Infusion Options
Thankfully, there is more than one way to infuse edible recipes.
Below we will explore all of the different ways you could infuse this recipe.
Cannabutter or Oil
Starting with cannabis butter is the most popular way to infuse this recipe. You can make it in a crockpot, Instant Pot, or make kief cannabutter.
Both cannabutter and coconut oil harden when cool, making them perfect consistency for fudge.
I haven’t tried it myself, but I do not think liquid cannabis oil like olive oil, MCT oil, vegetable oil or hash oil would work well in this recipe.
Cannabis Concentrates
Concentrates are the easiest way to make a potent cannabis fudge recipe, especially if you have access to medical marijuana.
Whether it be distillate or FECO, wax or shatter, all options work here.
Just be sure to check if the concentrate or extract needs to be decarbed first. Then add as many mg THC as desired.
Decarbed Cannabis Flower
While not my favorite way to infuse a recipe, using just decarbed cannabis flower works here.
Just be sure to grind it up extra fine so the texture does not interfere with the final product.
Using decarbed kief is also a great option. You likely only want to add a gram of weed or two here, depending on how potent you want it to be.
Adjust the amount of cannabis to your own personal needs.
Cannabis Sugar
This will require you to make a from-scratch fudge mixture. A standard recipe calls for sugar, cocoa powder, milk, butter, and vanilla extract.
Just swap your cannabis sugar for the granulated sugar.
Additional Toppings
For a microdose option, you can infuse this fudge with cannabis salt or cannabis peanut butter.
Combination
You could combine any of the options above for an infusion of cannabis extracts.
Notes and Expert Tips
- If you’ve never made cannabis fudge before, feel free to make a regular batch first, before infusing, to get the process right.
- Cannabis edibles are a wonderful thing, but they can sneak up on you! If you’re new to edibles, be sure to check out my edibles guide first before getting started.
- Be mindful of how much THC you add to the following recipe. You want to have an enjoyable experience, but you don’t want to over-do it, either. Use my edible dosage calculator and this dosing guide to help you find an amount that is just right for you. If you want to reduce the potency, make a mixture of butter, ur unsalted butter, and cannabutter.
- Know that if you add THC, you run the risk of failing a drug test.

Frequently Asked Questions
I haven’t done it myself, but it should work. Keep the understanding that you should never microwave your cannabutter. If you want to do this, add the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk to a large microwave-safe mixing bowl and heat in 30-second increments until they are melted completely. Then, gently stir in the cannabutter.
Regular peanut butter and chocolate chips for sure. Fruit could even be a cool option if you’re feeling it!

How can you incorporate cherry flavor into cannabis fudge?
I was thinking, instant flavored, cherry, gelatin powder,, but I’m not sure how it would turn out
Hi Patricia. Sounds delicious! Using instant cherry-flavored gelatin powder could certainly work, but it might alter the texture of your fudge.
Another option could be to use natural cherry extract, which would give your fudge a lovely cherry flavor without changing its consistency. Just add it in when you’re mixing your ingredients together.
Remember, edibles are all about experimentation, so don’t be afraid to try different things until you find what works best for you. Let us know how your cherry-cannabis fudge turns out. Happy baking!
This was so very easy. I was done putting it together in 10 minutes. 10 minutes and it was in the pan. Thank you so much Emily, you are the best.

So easy, so good. Just made a second batch with dark chocolate and crystalized ginger pieces.
I sprinkle it with cappuccino spice dust to finish it off.
Hi Jess. That sounds DELIGHTFUL!!! Thank you for sharing with us!!
i’ve made this recipe many times and it has always turned out great! Very easy and quick. My question is: Can you make this with peanut butter chips instead of chocolate chips? I would like to make some peanut butter fudge and want to make sure everything will bind together or do you need to add anything else? Thank you for any advice.
Hi Richard. We haven’t personally tried it, but I don’t see a problem with simply replacing the chocolate chips with peanut butter chips. Sounds delightful actually! Good luck!
I love this recipe from Emily, it is so quick and easy to make with your cannabutter and I added some salted cashews chopped up for the topping and they were delicious 😋, thanks so much for the recipe, I think I am going to try white chocolate chips for my next batch of fudge, I am sure it will be delicious
