Why Cannabis Works With Healthy Eating
Cannabis consumption works because the human body contains what is known as an endocannabinoid system (ECS).
The ECS maintains homeostasis within the body by acting as a balancing mechanism with the circulatory, nervous, and digestive systems.
Cannabinoids, like CBD and THC, found within the cannabis plant interact with endocannabinoid receptors throughout the body, triggering various effects.
Like cannabis, healthy eating can also help maintain homeostasis in the body.
With cannabis consumption and a healthy diet, you can address the root of your problems by healing yourself from the inside out.
You can do this by fueling your body with nutrients from whole foods, supplementing with natural plants like cannabis, and incorporating daily movement.
Paired with clean eating and a healthy lifestyle, the benefits can be endless.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do I start with?
For most weed lovers, the first thing they want to know is how much to start with. If you are new to cannabis and unsure of your how much THC you can handle, the easiest way to experiment is to microdose. Starting with a low dose is a great way to ease on into the experience, especially if you’re working with a homemade product. Learn more about safe dosing here.
Do I need to worry about temperature when making edibles?
While most of these recipes involve the use of low heat, baking certain recipes, like these tofu bites is OK. They do not get hot enough to destroy the THC. Learn more about appropriate baking temperatures here.
Can I use raw cannabis?
Yes, of course, if that is what you want. Raw cannabis is great to use in juice or salads. Just know that raw cannabis contains cannabinoid acids like CBDA and THCA, which are non-intoxicating. If you want to experience the psychoactive effects, or high, associated with THC, you will want to start with decarboxylated cannabis. Decarboxylated weed has been baked to help convert the THCA into THC. Follow my easy steps for this process here.
Does the strain matter?
Yes, the cannabis strain you use can have a big influence on how you react to cannabis. Certain strains can cause munchies, while other strains, such as those high in THCV may suppress the appetite. Being in control of the strain you use us one of the best part of making your own cannabis-infused recipes at home.
Do I need a medical marijuana card to shop with you?
No, you do not need a medical card to shop with me. From CBD oil to cannabis butter with 12.5 milligrams of THC per teaspoon, I have everything you need to make your own weed recipes and delicious treats at home.
Does it matter if I eat cannabis with a full or empty stomach?
Yes, consuming cannabis-infused edibles on a full vs. empty stomach can make a big difference in your final outcome. Cannabis is lipophilic, meaning it binds to fat molecules, which is especially important for edibles which are processed by the digestive system. Adding a little bit of healthy fats, like your own cannabis-infused coconut oil, or consuming your edibles with a high-fat meal can be ideal for optimal absorption and experiencing the full effects of cannabis.
